Creativity - Perfectionism = Cash in the bank
2 Week Live Course - Starts November 3rd
“Creative stuff doesn’t make money.”
Something you’ve heard 50 thousand times minimum.
Yet...people buy art, books, courses, coaching, expertise, and creative output all the time. Tell Netflix creative stuff doesn’t sell, they’ll be surprised.
Right now, you have an idea, skill, or piece of work that somebody would happily pay you for. You just need to find it.
In Sell Something by December…you’ll have something to sell by Black Friday and the rest of December.
Not a 500 page book or multi-step business with a 5 year plan.
Something you can put together in 2 weeks. Using half-assed effort and minimal tech so perfectionism doesn’t get in the way.
You’re already smart as shit with delightful ideas.
Let’s package a tiny piece of that so other people can enjoy it too. And give you money.
Only $399
Students in similar courses developed workshops, books of poetry, Patreon memberships, and more. All of them started by thinking
“I have nothing to sell”
“The ‘shining a light with a disco ball on a book in a library’ was a goddamn revelation. This is exactly the vibe I'm going for now and it makes it SO EASY. Total 180! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Amber’s a miracle worker.”
- Kali Jaye, who went from super scared to sell a possible workshop, to selling a few spots in one email with no mind drama
“ Taking this class was a kick in the pants for me to finally commit to building my business. I even made a Stripe account and started to treat myself like a professional, instead of meekly asking clients to Venmo me if they feel like it.”
- Micaela Blei
Sell Something by December is about:
Realizing you have brilliant ideas that can sell at your disposal
Putting together one of those ideas in 2 weeks
Experimenting with offering your expertise to people that need it
Doing it in a half-assed, tech minimal way so you can get it out there and see what happens without perfectionism getting in the way
What kind of "Something" am I talking about? Well, you could sell...
A $5 book of things you've written elsewhere compiled into one place
A workshop on something that's easy for you and tricky for others
Consulting sessions/Feedback calls/Coaching packages
Services like copywriting, editing, newsletter writing, social media caption writing, social media management, etc
Something else small and helpful priced between $5 - $2000
This course will NOT:
Make you thousands and thousands by December (it could but it's not likely)
Show you how to set up every piece of a business and sell forever
Be a golden ticket to get you out of financial trouble NOW
The goal isn't to make as much money as possible. It's to realize that you can always make money from your brilliant brain and this is just one way to do it.
Your creativity is a monetary asset, not an obstacle.
I know from experience that waiting until an idea is just right is a great way to stay frustrated. But when you put something out there, even if it doesn't feel 100%, that's when real change happens.
That's what took me from $55,000 a year at a full-time job that was mediocre at best to a 6-figure business that allows me to work with amazing people, write fun stuff, and take multiple days off when I get too tired from playing cars with a 3-year-old.

Here’s what people say about working with Amber…
“When I was deciding whether or not to join the class, I was afraid I'd do what I often do: plan to show up every Saturday and then not do it. Which always makes me feel even worse about myself. But Amber is so much fun and so laid-back and down to earth. I showed up for the first week, as I always do, but then wanted to come back the next Saturday. Not because I felt that I better or that I should because I paid for it. lol. But because I wanted to. I looked forward to working with everyone in the group and feeling encouraged by everyone's support, especially Amber's.” - Jane Jeffries
“Working with Amber feels like a friend, someone you've known forever, holding your hand through what seems like a scary process and turning it into an exciting adventure. I literally couldn't sleep the night after the intensive because I was SO JAZZED to keep writing and growing and so excited to see what would come next.” - Sara Judith
“The warm, kind, and regular feedback I received both from you, Amber, and the class in the Voxer channel have helped me put my toxic self-critique in perspective. I received feedback that's made me silence my imposter syndrome with much greater strength.” - Michael Cirigliano III
Want the course that lets you show up for yourself, be thrilled by your work, and silence your imposter syndrome?
Hello, I thought I was worthless
Also, my name is Amber Petty and I’ve run a 6-figure creative business since 2021. Also, I’ve helped hundreds of students get their first byline, create delightful newsletters, and start making money from their creative skills.
But when I was 31, I felt worthless. I’d spent my life trying to make it as an actor, but couldn’t handle putting my life on hold in the off chance I got an audition for “woman disappointed by scale.” For 20 years, I trained tirelessly in acting, singing, and improv, aka things no one wanted to pay for. I thought I wasted my life on worthless skills.
Thankfully for me, I didn't feel worthless for long. As I became a freelance writer and built up my business, all the shit I learned from acting school and improv shows was key to my success. Writing a sales page or doing a webinar was way easier for me than people with an MBA.
Every skill I thought was a waste of time was fundamental to making $757,000 in the last 4 years. Yes, I just checked that number. My creative BS made me three quarters of a million dollars so far. I hardly believe it myself.
I'm not saying you need to start doing theater and improv. But all your creative skills are worthwhile, necessary, and can help you make money!
So, to show you how you can experiment with using your creative delights to make something fun and helpful that people will pay for, I made Sell Something By September.
Because you’re too talented to go ignored.
“Every piece of feedback and guidance…RIDICULOUSLY VALUABLE. Also, Amber is fucking hilarious and SO good at what she does...this class is worth price of entry ALONE for access to her brilliance for those weeks.”
- Miish Grixti

Ideally, about 6 hours a week - which includes the calls. Now, it might be up to 10 hours a week, depending on what you want to sell. But it’s only for 2 weeks and then you have an asset you can use for years.
I’ve never sold anything before, is this for me?
Yes! You don’t need to have an official business or website. You do need a desire to sell something. You don’t need to know if it’ll lead to a business or if you’ll keep selling it for life. You just need a desire to start making money at something you’re already good at.
I’ve sold lots of things before, is this for me?
Perhaps? If you have no problem putting up new products, then you definitely don’t need this. But if you want some accountability to get a new, small product out the door, this will help you do exactly that.
I have a question that’s not here. What can I do?
Message me! Email amber@amberpetty.com and I’ll answer anything!
